AI Video Production

I was asked to show the marketing department how to integrate Generative AI into our production workflow. I put together a deck and demos to show what's possible with a hybrid process: taking concepts from script to execution in 24 hours.

The CEO sat in for the presentation, and the session helped get our AI tools approved for the team. Since then, these workflows have started shaping how we write our creative briefs.

The Demos

I built two contrasting spots to show the range of the tech:

  • Vice City: An 80s inspired cinematic noir. The focus was on lighting and retro film grain to make the AI motion feel like a broadcast ready spot.

  • Marie Antoinette: A satirical look at the 18th century. This was a deep dive into how the models handle complex textures and movement.

The Process

  1. Midjourney: For the initial hero characters and art direction.

  2. Google Veo 3: To bring those stills to life with cinematic motion.

  3. Post Production: I used custom color grading and film overlays to stabilize the shots and give them a polished finish.

The Result

  • Tool Approval: Secured the necessary credits and subscriptions for the team to use AI tools.

  • New Standards: These workflows are now a reference point for future creative briefs, shifting the team's approach to production speed.

Vice City: Neon, crime, and 80s synthwave.

Marie Antoinette: Lace, cake, and executions
